History comes alive in an unexpected manner in Past Aways, a new Dark Horse Comics series from creators Matt Kindt (Mind MGMT, Unity) and Scott Kolins (The Flash), and The Hollywood Reporter has an exclusive look at pages from the first issue.
The series centers around a ground of time travelers that get trapped in the past (which just so happens to be our present) and find themselves unable to die due to the rules of time travel. Fortunately — or unfortunately, depending on your perspective — those rules appear to be changing when objects and creatures from the distant past start mysteriously showing up to accompany them. Is time falling apart entirely?
Past Aways sees Kindt return to the science fiction genre of his critically-acclaimed Mind MGMT series, also published by Dark Horse, which was optioned by Ridley Scott’s Scott Free for movie development. (Kindt’s earlier graphic novel 3 Story: The Secret History of the Giant Man was optioned by Warner Bros with Dustin Lance Black attached.)
The new series launches next month, with the first issue available in comic stores and through the Dark Horse Digital comics app Mar. 25. For a taste of what to expect, just keep reading.
