SACRAMENTO-

The entire Sacramento and San Joaquin Valley areas are blanketed in fog Thursday morning, as they have been most of the week.

Drivers may be tempted to turn on their high beam headlights to help them see better on their way to work – don’t!

The California Department of Motor Vehicles includes this information to drivers:

“…drive slowly, turn on your windshield wipers, and use your low beam headlights. The light from the high beam headlights will reflect back and cause glare.”

FOX40’s Eric Rucker safely did a demonstration of low beam-versus-high beam headlights while driving on a side road in the Elk Grove area.
