LODI—

Nearly 1,500 people showed up to Bear Creek Community Church in Lodi to remember Misty Holt-Singh; a mother of 2, a wife, a volunteer, and a dental assistant. Holt-Singh was killed after a deadly bank robbery at Bank of the West in Stockton this month.

Holt married Paul Singh in 2001. Together, they had 2 children, Mia and Paul Jr.

“My mom was one of a kind. She would say jokes that weren’t funny but everyone would laugh,” Mia said at the memorial Monday.

Misty was a Christian, and her husband, a Sikh. Both faiths came together to mourn her death in unity.

“I found out 10 years later [that she told her cousin after our first date] ‘I’m gonna marry that guy,'” Misty’s husband Paul Singh recalled.

The coroner’s office still has not released Holt-Singh’s exact cause of death. What we do know is that one of the suspects, Jaime Ramos, 19, is being charged with the murder of Misty.

Her body was laid to rest shortly after 1:30 p.m. Monday at Cherokee Memorial Cemetery in Lodi.
