A family of Aubrey Andrews has issued a statement after her death was confirmed Wednesday by the Sacramento County Coroner.

“This is the worst outcome imaginable and a tragic loss for our entire family. We thank everyone who played a role in helping us locate Aubrey. We request privacy to mourn the loss of Aubrey and the baby.”

Andrews, who was just a few weeks from her due date, went missing Dec. 6. Her husband told FOX40 that she struggled with postpartum depression.

Her car was found Dec. 15 in the parking lot of a Walmart in Elk Grove. A woman, later confirmed to be Andrews, was found dead inside.

The Coroner did not reveal the nature of the her death.
