ROCKLIN-

Rocklin Police are trying to figure out who is behind a crime spree that saw vandalism, stolen cars and break-ins in at least two separate neighborhoods overnight Saturday.

Two cars were stolen, including an Acura RDX SUV, which still has not been located. Three bikes were also stolen, and several cars and homes were tagged with spray-paint.

“Somebody came in some time between 8:30 at night and 8:30 in morning. I don’t know how they got it. They somehow found the keys to that car and took off with it,” a victim, who identified himself as Russ, said. “Well, first they went inside and stole some stuff.”

Here’s the strange part: the thieves returned  his car. They parked it back in the garage they’d taken it from, although not well. You can still see where they clipped the side of the door, and knocked the car’s rear-view mirror off.

You can also still see the fingerprint dust still on the minivan’s tailgate, as Rocklin Police, are aggressively trying to figure out who’s responsible.

“Yeah. It’s pretty frustrating- someone ripping you off,” Russ said. “I don’t know if anything will come of it. Might just be stuck with the results. Pretty frustrating.”
