ROSEVILLE-

Two men are now behind bars after carrying out a daring burglary at a Roseville motorcycle shop that played out like a Hollywood movie.

“I think these two really wanted a motorcycle really bad,” Randy Felice said.

Felice is the Dealer Principal at A&S Motorcycles in Roseville. He told FOX40 he got a call from the businesses security company at around 1:30 Saturday morning in response to a burglary in progress.

“They climbed onto the roof, repelled down a rope. We were all shocked, knots tied in the rope, very James Bond like,” Felice said.

Felice told FOX40 the thieves first attempted to start motorcycles with screwdrivers, before they eventually found the keys to two Ducatis, worth a combined $35,000

The high stakes burglary picked up even more speed when police arrived.

“It was definitely like a scene out of a Hollywood movie. One of them busted through the showroom door on the motorcycle, in attempting to flee,” Roseville Police Sergeant Philip Mancini said.

While one of the thieves hopped a curb and headed toward the freeway, the other ran into a thick metal chain at the business entrance.

“He actually clotheslined himself, fell off the bike, then attempted to flee on foot,” Mancini said.

Roseville Police say that suspect was caught 100 yards away. The other suspect made it all the way to South Sacramento before he was arrested.

24 year old Albert Morales Quiroz and 29 year old Corey William Viegas are now in custody at the Placer County jail on suspicion of burglary, vehicle theft, evading officers, possession of methamphetamine, and other related charges.

“The actions they took in an effort to escape are very dangerous, they put a lot of officers lives at risk including their own. At the end of the day just , like any Hollywood movie, the good guys won,” Mancini said.

But it’s a movie Felice has seen many times. He said A & S had been broken into at least 20 times during its 47 years in business, and none of the criminals got away with the crime.

“We know you like our things, and we’re constantly making it harder to get away with anything of value. So don’t even try it,” Felice said.
