GRANITE BAY-

It was a calm after the storm. A storm that not only brought rain and hail, but thunder and lightning too.

Granite Bay resident Vince Matranga was home Thursday evening during the height of the storm.

However, it wasn’t until Friday morning when the retired Sacramento School Police Chief ventured out to see what happened.

Believe it or not, this tree was in one piece before Matranga said a bolt of lightning hit it. He said the bolt of electricity also fried the wiring to an electric gate nearby.
