SACRAMENTO-

The Wall Street Journal has included California’s capitol city on their list of 6 greatest small cities for food lovers.

FOX40 photojournalist Rachelle Riley went around Sacramento to see what exactly makes food such a huge attraction.

“It is small but it is growing. I think just the people, there’s a connection around here and everyone loves food around here,” said Gianni Torza, a Sacramento food blogger. “We’ve got a good taste for food and it’s blowing up around here, and there’s a ton of new restaurants blowing up and it’s gonna be fun.”

“It’s great recognition and we deserve it. Not only locationally speaking but talent wise, the chefs are here, the restaurants are here,” said James Beckman, a Sacramento foodie. “We’ve had a great scene, a great food scene, a great beer scene. I’m happy it made the list; I’m stoked!”

“Now I love that every block you go to there’s something for everybody,” said Kathy Kyrie of Sacramento. “It was not like that years ago. It has become so diverse.”

Six Sacramento Restaurants were included on the Wall Street Journal’s list:

Hook & Ladder Manufacturing Company

Formoli’s Bistro

Kru

The Porch Restaurant and Bar

Bistro Michel

The Kitchen
