I'm glad someone actually took the time to design a simple stand that not only matches the iPad's industrial design but makes it look even better. The Joule's made in California, but it reminds me of classic 70s European designs.

The Joule is made out of solid aluminum bricks, CNC'ed like the unibody iPad and MacBooks. You can buy it with chrome or anodized black finishes. It has a magnetically-attached tilt foot to easily change the viewing angle, rubber pads for grip and a velvet-lined recess, so you don't scratch it.

Sadly, all this finesse comes with a steep price: $129. The first 100 Gizmodo readers can get it for $99. Just use this discount code while ordering: GIZMJ3. [Element Case]
