LUBBOCK, Texas (AP)-

A California woman caught in Texas with about 165 pounds of marijuana in her rented vehicle must serve two years in federal prison.

Christini Lynn Brashear of Rocklin, California, was sentenced Thursday in Lubbock. Brashear in November pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

Abilene police on Christmas Day, 2013, received calls about an SUV eastbound on Interstate 20 but traveling just 5 miles an hour. Officers found the vehicle parked, with Brashear asleep.

Brashear, who was taken to a hospital, told police she used methamphetamine. She turned the rental SUV over to an officer, to avoid towing. The officer noticed a smell of marijuana, then found several bags in the truck with the marijuana.

The vehicle also had cellphones and directions to Houston.
