The Big Bang Theory’s Raj married a former beauty queen in real life, and Vogue dubbed them, “Beauty and the Geek.”
Both of Indian heritage and raised in New Delhi, the couple met in India, while Nayyar was already part of the sitcom.
Although his character on the show doesn’t always have good luck with the ladies, Nayyar’s long-distance love story had a happy ending.
Here’s what you need to know about the woman who stole his heart.
1. She’s a Former Miss India
She was awarded this title of Femina Miss India Universe 2006.
The 5’10” brunette also models. She told Wear About, “I like modeling because it allows me to travel..see new things..meet new people. I traveled to places like Ecuador, Zambia, Cannes..places I never thought I’d see.”
2. She Had a 6-Day Wedding With 1,000 Guests

The wedding, set in Delhi in 2011, was so traditional, that the groom came into the ceremony on a white horse.
He told Vogue India what it was like when he saw Kapur for the first time on his wedding day:
My favorite moment was seeing Neha for the first time that day. It still gives me the shivers to think of how beautiful she looked. I mean, I obviously know my wife is beautiful, the whole world knows she’s beautiful. But there was something more than physical beauty at play when she was walking. It was spiritual, she was a vision. I’ll never forget that till the day I die.
3. She Just Started a Design Label

The fashionista, who has 100 pairs of shoes, studied fashion design at Pearl Academy of Fashion.
Her label, designbykyo has an Instagram account that was started in August of 2014.
Her famous husband is promoting her work, and tweeted the above message.

They met through friends at a bar in India.
She dished to Vogue India, “Kunal was visiting India, and my friend called me, saying, “Oh, this really great guy is visiting from America.” There was a party at a bar, and I saw Kunal dressed all LA, the star; the glasses…”
It was love at first sight for Nayyar who told the magazine, “I thought, “Wow, she’s hot.” I wanted to hook up with her, to be honest. And then, she was so tall… I said, ‘Hey, sit down, I’ll buy you a drink.’ And that was it.”
5. She Lives in L.A. but Delhi Has Her Heart
“We just bought a house in Los Angeles, and I’m super obsessive about cleaning it all the time. It’s more like having a baby,” she told Vogue.
However, the Indian native keeps her homeland close to her heart. She told Wear about, “I am biased about Delhi- was born and brought up there. I think it gives one more freedom and space. It is more culturally inclined. And the most you can sit in a jam is 45 minutes and not 2 hours.”
