CARMICHAEL-
A water main along Walnut Avenue near Gibbons Drive broke Friday afternoon, damaging the road and cutting off water service to at least 13 homes.
Traffic was not immediately affected, but work to repair the pavement and the water main could impede drivers at the intersection of the two streets.
The 8-inch pipe was said to be around 50 to 60 years old.
