The Tonight Show is heading west for the Super Bowl.
The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon will set up shop at the Orpheum Theater in Phoenix following NBC’s telecast of Super Bowl XLIX and a special episode of The Blacklist on Sunday, Feb. 1, 2015, the network announced Tuesday.
Following the game, Fallon will spend a week in Los Angeles from Feb. 2-5 — marking the Tonight Show‘s first visit to teh West Coast since it returned to 30 Rockefeller Plaza in New York earlier this year. Shows will be taped at Universal Studios Hollywood.
The trip west comes one year after Fallon debuted as host of the Tonight Show, which is late night’s most watched and top-rated program. The show averaged 3.82 million and a 1.12 rating among adults 18-49 for the week ending Aug. 29.
