Tate will play Tony, the peacemaker among the group of four friends who has a good sense of humor. He was scarred emotionally and physically by the work he was forced to do in prison, and now battles addiction issues. He hangs out with Gil and helps him with his petty crime schemes. Good-hearted but lonely and limited by his own-self doubts, he is a team player who has always looked up to Jackson.
Parenthood‘s David Hudgins will pen the script and executive produce the Sony Pictures Television drama alongside CSI alum Carol Mendelsohn, Julie Weitz, Timur Savci, Tariq Jalil and Niels Arden Oplev, with the latter attached to direct.
Tate, who most recently had a recurring role on Showtime’s House of Lies and regular role on USA Network’s short-lived drama Rush. He’s repped by Paradigm, Brillstein and Hansen Jacobson.
