I really liked this app. It has a lot of interesting animals in the scenes. This is a great puzzle game that makes you think. This puzzle has 6 different wildlife scenes in it and each scene has many items that you have to solve. In addition you can select a 5x5, 10x10, 15x15 or a 20x20 matrix in which you select which of the blocks are to be colored in. Frankly I play the 5x5 as I just do this to kill time and have fun. The 20x20 matrix drives me crazy!
You do get to make limited mistakes and if you make too many you have to start over. You also get limited hints. The games also have a simple but good tutorial on how to play the game.
I like the games as I find them fun and challenging. I felt that this set of puzzles had very good artwork and it made playing the game more fun and interesting. I rated this app at 5 stars. It is free to get and fun to play.
I find that playing these puzzles on the simple level is relaxing and it calms me down. These are great games and they are free on Amazon Underground.
A lot of fun in a simple yet challenging puzzle game.
I played about 20 levels on this so far, and I'm enjoying it a lot. Some of the levels are quite basic, and some are much more advanced, but all of them (so far) can be solved using pure deduction...no guessing required. Just keep painting the blocks you know are part of the solution and hammering the ones you know can't be...and viola!
I'm not sure what age levels to put on some of these levels. There's no math or reading involved, but the logic required goes beyond the elementary level. I'm not sure my 5-year-old could solve many of these on her own, but I still think it would be a fun game to sit down and play with her. The animal art that's revealed after you complete the puzzle is very nice, and this would be a good way to teach some logic and deduction to your kids.
I don't see anything that is a security concern on this game. No ad networks or hidden calls trying to phone home with your network information...so download it and try it out, you've got nothing to lose while it's the FAOTD. If you like the game, you've gotten a fun game for free...if you don't care for the style of game, it cost you nothing to find out.
When this isn't the FAOTD, I'd have to say that the $1.99 asking price is right at the top limit of what I'd pay. There are a lot of levels, and multiple difficulty setting, so it is worth that price...but just barely, and only if you know in advance that you enjoy this type of logic game.
I love love love these Flip Pix games. I have paid for many of them. I play on the Kindle Fire HD and, at first, I loved doing the 15x15 and the 20x20. But then you guys changed the 20x20 layout. I used to only have to scroll up and down because everything from left to right fit on the screen. Now you have to scroll up and down AND left to right. It's extremely frustrating to play this way because I'm constantly highlighting blocks on accident just trying to see the board. I have recently paid for several of these games because the preview pics made it look like the 20x20 was the way it used to be. I think you should give people the option of having smaller blocks and not having to scroll both ways, or choosing to have larger blocks and scrolling. I regret my recent purchases and I won't be making anymore. Which really sucks because this was my most favorite thing to do on my Kindle. Because other than this one (huge) issue, these games are fun, addictive, and worth the money.
It was fine on the tutorial, but once I got to the actual levels, it started messing up. First it wouldn't let me into the puzzle. After restarting my device, it played fine for a few levels, then problems started again. It counted moves as mistakes, when they couldn't possibly have been. For instance, a row showed that nine blocks would be filled in, so I volleyball the middle ones. It counted all but one as mistakes and forced me to restart the puzzle, after which it made similar mistakes on other rows. I gave up and deleted the game.
This is definitely a poor quality game. It has the potential to be very fun, but until these problems are fixed, it's just aggravating.
The FlipPix Art series is a series of Nonogram (or Picross) puzzle games. I was introduced to these types of puzzles by Mario's Picross for the original Gameboy. I have always thought these puzzles have had the perfect level of difficulty: not too easy, not too hard...the objective of these puzzles is simple: fill the squares in the grid based off of the numbers on the top of the columns and the beginning of the rows. Say for example you have a 5...that means five consecutive squares would be filled. If you have a 2 and a 1, that means two consecutive squares followed by one square would be filled but they would be separated by at least one square. It is a very simple game, but those are the ones that always seem to challenge you the most, aren't they? The puzzles in this game start out simple, but progressively get harder. So far for me they have all been solved by logic but there are hints to help you along the way if you ever do get stuck on a puzzle.
There is a good amount of puzzles (232 according to the description) that span across four sizes (5x5, 10x10, 15x15 and 20x20) and the interface is pretty nice as well. You can disable the sound if you prefer. There is an informative tutorial included so you should be able to pick up on the game fairly quickly.
There are no suspicious permissions to be found from what I can tell.
Overall, this game (and the whole series for that matter) gets my full recommendation. Be careful though, they are addictive!
Thank you Amazon for putting another great game up as the FAOTD. :)
