SACRAMENTO-

The organizer of the Sactoberfest beer event admitted that he owes 100 workers money.

“It’s not fair,” worker Anna Gaebe said. “We busted our humps.”

Gaebe agreed to work as a bar manager for Sactoberfest for a flat $500.

Organizer Rich Clakley said attendance to the event was about half of the expected 8,500 people. He says, because of that low attendance, he’s filing for bankruptcy and workers will have to be paid by the courts.

Clakley originally told FOX40 on Saturday that workers would be paid in the coming days.

California labor law prohibits not paying someone after officially hiring them.
