SACRAMENTO —

53-year-old Daniel Aiello owned Midtown Mopeds on 13th and X streets, and lived above his business.

His body was found inside Wednesday morning. Neighbors tell FOX40 Aiello recently had some sort of dispute with the man accused of murdering him.

Loyal customers are now remembering the the small business owner.

“He liked working on scooters. He liked helping out. He was just nice as can be. It’s just senseless and ridiculous. It’s just a shame,” said customer Gabriel Rivas.

On his social media sites, Aiello identifies himself as a freelance writer in Sacramento and the Bay Area.

Early Wednesday morning Sac PD responded to a burglary at the shop.

That’s when officers found Aiello’s body.

Neighbors told police they heard loud noises and saw a man and woman carrying items out of the store and into a jeep.

Kyle Fletcher has been booked on murder, burglary and robbery charges. Sabrina Ahrens-Gravelle is facing burglary.

Nearby businesses say they’re surprised hearing what happened.

“It’s pretty chill and quiet right here. We never really had any problems or anything like that,” said Kristina Rodriguez.

Rodriguez says Aiello was quiet and was often seen walking his dogs.

Rivas says Aiello did not deserve to be killed.

“I was even telling my friend. He was going to get his tires changed. I said go to this place. That great price is really nice. Two days later he’s dead. It just sucks,” Rivas said.

The Coroner’s office has not released an official cause of death.
