Based on John Hughes‘ movie about a childish man who learns how to be an adult by taking care of his brother’s kids in a very childish way, Lesure will star as Will Russell, Buck’s (Mike Epps) younger yet more accomplished brother. A reasonable and patient father, Will is a successful architect who is willing to do anything to make his wife, Alexis (Nia Long), happy. He accepts ?Buck’s faults, knowing he has a good heart. Garrett M. Brown played the role in the film.
Lesure joins a cast that also includes Aalyrah Caldwell, Sayeed Shahidi and Iman Benson.
Steven Cragg and Brian Bradley are attached to write and executive produce ABC’s Uncle Buck alongside Will Packer via his prolific Will Packer Productions banner. The single-camera comedy hails from ABC Studios, Universal Television and Packer’s banner. Phil Traill will direct.
