For the price of $2 it's pretty much perfect on the Fire TV. It's on mobile too but I've only played on Fire TV. Some small annoyances or things I would like to see added but a lot of fun.
Basic top down shooting game that starts off a bit slow and easy but ramps up and gets intense. There is a currency system of buying weapons and armor but it's not too crazy like a lot of mobile games and has a nice sense of progression instead of endless grinding or having to pay real money to get anything good. You choose any two weapons, your armor, and your level and get right to the shooting. You get a quick message at the start of each level what your objective is but the main objective is always to kill every enemy. There are some nice arcade style scoring elements like chaining kills and special abilities that activate after a certain amount of kills. Instead of ammo your weapons are only limited by heat which keeps the action fast. It's a lot like a more arcade like and faster paced Space Marshals.
There are a few small things that could be improved. I'd love to see a survival or horde style mode. The game can get a little repetitive if playing for a while. The radar showing all enemy locations is useful but ruins some suspense so might be nice to have a mode with it off. The objectives are shown too quickly and no way to read them again after the start of the level. Not too big a deal since you still have arrows point to your objective. The friends list is always empty on Fire TV and since I don't think Fire TV supports friends should be replaced with a general leaderboard.
Overall, it's a really fun game you can play for a few minutes at a time or get hooked and play for a while. The kind of android gaming that works great on TV too. If you want a pure action game that looks good it's a great game to get.
edit: They fixed the only real gameplay issue where dead enemies could damage you.
if you played space marshals before playing this game, you will be disappointed. their other game is well thought out, includes variety, strategy, overall depth and fun. I paid for this thinking it would be of similar quality. Not so. this one is a repetetive bore-fest. go into a room and kill aliens, keep going and kill more, next room even more, next still more. Almost no strategy. you'll waste many shots on empty air. There are no bosses or anything that makes a feeling of progression, only ever increasing numbers and difficulty. There's no completion cut scene when you've completed the entire game with 3 stars on all levels, which I did (I was addicted even though I found this game completely unsatisfying). strategy hint, to earn your 3 stars, go back to previous levels with superior weapons which make it easy. Do not do levels over and over trying to get 3 stars. Don't worry about dying. Doesn't matter. Just keep going.
works on my Note4, but issues with the touch controls. the change weapon is too close, during firing may accidentally change weapons. the Samsung game pad, does not map properly. I've played other games that map the button correctly.
the game play is fun. the graphics is smooth and very nicely drawn. a zoomable weapon viewing would be nice. a option to enable auto camera view would be nice.
I have had spent a couple of hours into the game and from what I have noticed the levels structures seem familiar however, the fact there's plenty of weapons to purchase and some similar to the starting weapons, their output in terms of damage makeup for somewhat repetitive levels. The Armor with a total of t perks make completing levels doable. And as for graphics, I am playing the game on a ZenFone 2 and it runs smoothly. As I progress on, I did notice some minor fps drops but nevertheless can play on 60fps High Settings. Looks very neat.
I forgot to mention there is a leaderboard with players who've scored highest on certain areas overall. It should make up for some replayability alongside feeling the need to complete all achievements and completing levels with 3 points.
I'd be happy to see more content but if there are no plans in the future for more content then I am very satisfied with the 200-ish coins I spent for it.
Starting with a game review, I thinks that this game is amazing. Enough said. Going into detail, this game plays very similarly to space marshals, which happens to be one of my favourite games on the tablet, but with a more futuristic, and creepy, feel.
Controls wise, you use two analog sticks to move and shoot, and then tap and drag on this other thingie to use special powers, different ones come with different armour. The armoury system works well, where you buy and equip 2 different guns, and they level up as you use them.
The enemies are well made, with three different guys trying to kill you by the third level. They can be creepy too, if played at night, alone, with headphones on.
I think this game deserves a solid 5/5 star rating, although I have one idea to make it better...
NOTE TO DEVEOPERS:
You should add a level editor, where you can place items, enemies, and objectives, and post them for others to see.
To keep it basic, and easy for the programmers, you can simply have a empty warehouse loke place, where you place down crates (in a top down angle) to build your levels. The crates serve as walls, and then you can switch to enemies and place them too. For saving and sharing, all thats needed to be done is an array, with different values for different objects.
If this is possible, then I think it would make a great addition to the game, but none-the-less, this game is still 5-star.
Excellent game, especially for the price. Didn't try their other top-down shooter because it seemed too expensive. This one was priced well, I haven't had to pay anything additionally in order to progress pretty well. Gameplay is great on Fire TV 2, controls are good. It gets a little repetitive but not to where I'd call it "grinding" for the upgraded gear.
Excellent game, plays on my android box (Mad catz mojo) with game controller, for some reason Playstore won't let me down load this as it supposedly isn't compatible - but apart from a slight glitch on the map screen background it works perfectly, Thank you Amazon for saving the day!!!
