NBC’s latest pilot order comes from veteran producer Carol Mendelsohn (CSI). The Hollywood Reporter has learned that the network is moving forward with Game of Silence.

The one-hour drama, written by Parenthood and Friday Night Lights alum David Hudgins, focuses on a rising attorney with a mysterious past. On the brink of success, his long-lost childhood friends return, threatening to expose a secret that could ruin his idyllic life.
It marks a first for Mendelsohn under her new pact with Sony Pictures TV, and the project will be produced under her shingle. Joining Hudgins and Mendelsohn as executive producer is Julie Weitz.
NBC has thus far been much heavier on comedy pilots, with seven projects in contention for next season — including one straight-to-series order for Eva Longoria‘s Telenovela. This order brings the network’s drama pilot count to four.
Both Mendelsohn and Hudgins are repped by WME.
