Have your kids ever seen wool spun into thread? This Saturday at Fairytale Town’s Farms, Friends & Fairytales event, they’ll have the chance! Twin Babydoll sheep will be sheared at 11am & 1pm, then everyone can watch as the wool is spun into thread using an old fashioned spinning wheel.

Farmer Brown will also be on hand throughout the day with some of his barnyard buddies for up-close introductions.

Kids will be able to participate in farm-themed hands-on activities, shop the mini farmer’s market, and visit with local area farms and organizations.

When:  Saturday, May 16, 2015; 11am – 3pm (park open for play 9am – 4pm so go early, stay late)

Where:  Fairytale Town, 3901 Land Park Drive, Sacramento

Cost:  General weekend admission – $5.50, children 1 and under free
