SACRAMENTO-

The body of a man was found Thursday morning, and now officers are trying to piece together what happened before his death. Police were called around 10:30 a.m. after someone found the body near a bridge along La Riviera Drive at Howe Avenue.

According to investigators, there were reports of shots being fired Wednesday night in the area. The victim had gunshot wounds.

Sacramento Police officers and Park Rangers are on scene investigating. They say the area has a lot of homeless camps, but they have not identified the victim at this time.
