SACRAMENTO-

More details about Kings center DeMarcus Cousins illness have been released. The team says Cousins has been diagnosed with viral meningitis.

His symptoms are stable, and he will recover fully. However, Kings medical staff is asking he gets more rest before returning to the court.

Cousins was out of last week’s games, and it looks like he will not be back this week either.

Viral meningitis is an inflammation of the tissue the covers the brain and spinal cord, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The organization says most people recover on their own without treatment.
