"I always wanted a thing called tuna sashimi." And now I know the origin of this phrase. Holy crap English in a Japanese game!
There will be ear rape. Adjust your speakers/'phones/whatever you use to listen to audio.
The sequel to the first fishy shmup game...and a little different from all the other Darius games. There's two bosses that aren't based on sea critters (Mother Hawk and Bio Strong). Iunno. This game doesn't feel...Darius-y. At least there's a few catchy tunes here and there (Olga Breeze, which is Zone A BGM, and Round Clear) Game is punishing as usual. Blow up? You start all over on powerups.
Difficulty of choice: Hard. At least this game has a reliable auto-fire. (Darius's isn't that impressive, but it makes the game a bit easier). I don't show all stages because there's too many, man. X_X I take the top path and then one bottom path to get to Mother Hawk. There's no Great Thing. D:
Game was also ported to Genesis/Mega Drive as Sagaia, PC-Engine as Super Darius II (enhanced), and Saturn as Darius II (complete with stretchy-stretchy...if Wikipedia is to be believed.)
