SEATTLE, WA -- (Marketwired) -- 07/27/15 -- Hurry! There's still time for social impact entrepreneurs to apply for Social Venture Partners' Fast Pitch Seattle program -- a pitch competition that Bill Gates called "a clever way to connect early-stage nonprofits and social entrepreneurs with potential funders." The application deadline for for-profit entrepreneurs is August 8.
Do you have an idea for a new way to solve the tough social problems in the Greater Puget Sound region -- like how to help children read, recycle old clothes or connect small businesses with funding? You can hone your pitch and business plan through workshops, networking events and mentoring. Build relationships with advisors, donors, investors and partners. Then, compete for a piece of $250,000 in investments that we plan to award. If you make it to the SVP Fast Pitch Final Showdown, you'll make your five-minute pitch to a panel of celebrity judges and an audience of 1,000 on October 27 at McCaw Hall.
Applications for nonprofits and students have already closed, but there's still time for for-profit innovators to apply. You can also get tickets to attend the Final Showdown! Visit bit.ly/svpfastpitch15.
