A winter storm moving across California is on target to drop 2-to-5 inches of rain on average around the Sacramento Valley by Friday afternoon.

FOX40 heard from many viewers who had not seen much rain by Thursday afternoon, however there are many who saw so much their roads were flooding.

The storm already dropped more than 5 inches in areas of the North Bay, some areas like Napa got about 8 inches of rain in the last 24 hours.

Wind speeds were above 40 mph on the west side of the Valley Thursday morning, and there are gusts of around 100 mph in the Sierra near Donner Summit.
