Japanese antique lights at Kodo Arts Show on May 2-10

Kodo Arts Japanese Antiques is displaying a unique range of old Japanese lamps and lanterns dating from 150 years ago until the present at its upcoming Kodo Arts Warehouse Sale & Show on May 2-10.

Wonderful lacquered wood lanterns papered with hand-made washi or rice paper, Buddhist temple lamps, bronze lamps, iron hanging lanterns, many garden lanterns including stone lanterns will light up this Spring Kodo Arts Warehouse Show. Many of the lamps and lanterns have been fitted with safe lighting components, enabling them to be used in the house or garden.

A fabulous array of antique Japanese furniture, including large kitchen chests and smaller furniture pieces also is on display. Much home décor, art, textiles, architectural, and unique and unusual items are on sale. Kodo Arts recreates Kyoto’s famous temple antique market atmosphere in their spacious warehouse for nine days — only twice a year in fall and spring.

The spring show hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily May 2 through May 10 (Mother’s Day) at the Kodo Arts Japanese Antiques Warehouse at 571 Searls Avenue, Nevada City. For more information, visit Kodo-Arts.com or call 530-478-0812.
