CBS medical drama Code Black has found its top doc.
Lost alum Maggie Grace is set to topline the drama pilot based on the feature documentary directed by Ryan McGarry, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

Grace will star as Leanne, the residency doctor in the ER who is described as a force of nature and a force to be reckoned with.
She joins a cast that also includes How to Get Away With Murder‘s Marcia Gay Harden as a soccer mom turned doc after her child’s death and Melanie Kannakoda as a new and ambitious resident at the hospital.
Intelligence‘s Michael Seitzman will pen the script and executive produce the ABC Studios and CBS Television Studios co-production. Marti Noxon, Linda Goldstein Knowlton, McGarry and David Semel will also exec produce, with the latter on board to direct the pilot.
Grace recently wrapped production on film Showing Roots alongside Uzo Aduba and will next be seen in Nicholas Sparks‘ Lionsgate entry The Choice. Her credits also include the third Taken feature. Last pilot season, Grace — repped by UTA, Zero Gravity Management and Jackoway Tyerman — co-starred in CBS’ Wall Street drama from EP John Cusack.
