SAN JOSE (KGO)-
A lone, blue backpack, found abandoned in a San Jose Burger King restaurant contained $100,000 in cash.
The assistant manager spotted it sitting at a table. The owner of the restaurant opened it, in hopes of finding an identification tag or information about who it belonged it.
Instead, there were stacks of cash. He immediately called police.
Police dug further inside the bag and found candy, a little bit of marijuana, and a bank deposit slip. They are now working with that bank to figure out who the cash belongs to.
