Volynets, Aidan Mayo fall in Easter Bowl semis

   Two Northern California juniors lost in the Easter Bowl semifinals on Tuesday, but three others won doubles titles.
   Walnut Creek resident Katie Volynets, seeded fourth in the girls 14s, fell to top-seeded Alexa Noel of Summit, N.J., 3-6, 6-4, 6-4 in Indian Wells.
   Roseville's Aidan Mayo, the top seed in the boys 12s, succumbed to sixth-seeded Hunter Heck of New Brighton, Minn., 7-5, 6-4.
   Meanwhile, fourth-seeded Sara Choy of San Francisco and Jillian Taggart of Fair Oaks defeated Naomi Cheong of Las Vegas and Sedona Gallagher of Henderson, Nev., 8-5 for the girls 14 doubles championship.
   Also, top-seeded Heck and Karl Lee of Los Altos beat unseeded Jameson Corsillo of Boca Raton, Fla., and Martin Damm of Bradenton, Fla., 8-3 for the boys 12 doubles crown.
   In girls 16 singles, Alaina Miller of Saratoga ousted 10th-seeded Alexandra Sanford of Westerville, Ohio, 6-4, 2-6, 6-1 in the first round.
