    I am not a big baker by any means, and this app sounded like a great way to get someone like me started. Unfortunately, the app is a bit too basic, in that it lacks photos of any kind. The recipes are text only, and the formatting while serviceable could probably use a little more editing to make it easier to follow (for example, numbering the steps). There is a search function, but due to the lack of pictures of the finished product, it's kind of hard to know what you might be interested in trying.

    The app does have some positives. It is clean without any ads or extraneous add-ons. The permissions required should be benign - internet access for links to the developer's other apps. The app only took up about 3.5MB or so, but that's to be expected since it's so basic.

    Maybe if you bake a lot and know what you're looking for, this app could be helpful simply by giving you quick access to a decent number of recipes. Coming from a guy who's okay at following recipes but isn't an iron chef by any means, this collection of recipes doesn't quite do it for me. The lack of pictures combined with the somewhat haphazard organization and recipe content, well I just don't see it enticing me to explore and try a new recipe.

    I just downloaded this app and wanted to write a review mainly to correct some other reviews I've seen. This app is set up like my old recipe box. My recipe box is full of recipes on notecards gathered from my family's older generations. They did not need pictures and videos, just a list of ingredients and basic instructions. So this probably isn't for a person learning to bake, it's more like an old fashioned recipe box. I like that I can use this offline.

    Also there were some complaints about the instructions being wrong. I checked some of them referenced in those reviews and all I can determine is that the person writing the review didn't read the recipe fully. There are instructions for cakes and sometimes also instructions for toppings. There are also separate ingredient lists for the cake and the topping. It appears that some reviewers did not realize that they are meant to be prepared separately.
