SACRAMENTO-

A major crash along I-5 near Sutterville Road in South Sacramento involving an ambulance slowed commuters. There are initial reports of injuries, but it is not clear how serious they are, or how the victims were injured.

Around 8 a.m., at least three vehicles, including an ambulance, crashed near the 43rd Street exit.

For awhile, there were two lanes closed as the involved vehicles and debris was removed. All lanes were back open before 9 a.m.

It was raining at the time of the accident, but it is not known if weather played a role in the accident.
