Cal, Stanford players chosen for National Indoors

   Northern California will be well-represented in the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships, Thursday through Nov. 15 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, N.Y.
   The men's and women's fields, each with 32 players in singles and 20 teams in doubles, were announced this week.
   Cal and Stanford will send six singles players and four doubles teams combined. Also headed to New York are one singles player from Fresno State and several San Francisco Bay Area residents.
   Following is a list of entrants from Northern California and how they were selected:
Men's singles
   David Wilczynski, Stanford, Northwest Regional champion.
   Andre Goransson, Cal, All-American Championships semifinalist.
   Tom Fawcett, Stanford, All-American Championships semifinalist.
Men's doubles
   Tom Fawcett and David Wilczynski, Stanford, USTA wild card.
   Vasco Valverde and Nils Skjaa, USF, Northwest Regional champions.
   Richard Pham (Saratoga resident) and Shawn Hadavi, Columbia, Northeast Regional champions.
   Victor Pham (Saratoga resident) and Mike Vermeer, Columbia, host wild card.
Women's singles
   Taylor Davidson, Stanford, Northwest Regional champion.
   Maegan Manasse, Cal, All-American Championships semifinalist.
   Maiar Sherif Ahmed, Fresno State, at-large.
   Klara Fabikova, Cal, at-large.
   Giuliana Olmos (Fremont resident), USC, ITA wild card.
Women's doubles
   Taylor Davidson and Caroline Doyle (San Francisco resident), Stanford, Northwest Regional champions.
   Maegan Manasse and Denise Starr, Cal, All-American Championships champions.
   Giuliana Olmos (Fremont resident) and Gabby Smith, USC, at-large.
   Klara Fabikova and Olivia Hauger, Cal, at-large.
