Friends of Whitney Engler, the 27 year old woman found dead Thursday night in an apparent murder suicide in Davis, are searching for her certified service dog, Rosie.
“All the we know is she escaped with the incident when police tried to enter the home or when they sent in one of their robots she bolted from the door, she’s really noise sensitive,” Anjolie Dariyani said.
They believe it is all they can do for Engler’s family now, after her death, to find the dog that comforted their daughter and accompanied her everywhere she went.
“That dog was really special to her and to all of us and right now the goal is to find her,” Caitlin Koontz said.
Rosie is a 4 year old brown and white Australian Shepard. Friends say she is afraid of males but will come to females if called by name. Rosie was last seen running away from her home on Glacier Drive in Davis.
Engler’s friends believe her cats may have escaped the home as well.
