DANK’S “Changing Course” show is January 15

DANK, Nevada County’s artists collective at the Miners Foundry Cultural Center, invites you to their new exhibition, “Changing Course,” part of the 14th annual Wild & Scenic Film Festival’s Art Exhibit. The show will be open to the public from Friday, January 15th through Sunday, January 17th.

“Changing Course” marks the culmination of DANK’s very successful one-year residency at the gallery at Miners Foundry Cultural Center. “We are so grateful to have had this opportunity to showcase our work in this beautiful, historic space, and to be a part of the rich legacy of the visual arts at Miners Foundry”, said DANK member Roseanne Burke.

Artists Roseanne Burke, Sarah Coleman, Moira McLaughlin, Joe Meade, Celine Adrianna Negrete, and Nancy Nelson will share thought-provoking 2D and 3D works that address issues of climate change, species extinction, and California’s drought. Simultaneously, the show is a celebration of nature’s beauty as well as a reminder of the positive impact that innovative man-made solutions could have for our planet.

The gallery will be open on Friday, January 15th and Saturday, January 16th, from 4-7pm with hot mulled wine being served. Foxhound Expresso & Coffee Broaster will be serving pour-over coffee, Saturday and Sunday mornings, January 16 th and 17 th, from 9am-1pm. Sierra Moonshine Homebrew Supply Store will be serving homemade beer on Sunday, January 17th, from 4-6pm for the WSFF Wild & Happy Hour.

The public is invited to drop by between films to enjoy DANK’s final show at the Miners Foundry Cultural Center gallery.
