It's down to the wire for ArtPrize 2015's contest ending tonight

GRAND RAPIDS, MI – ArtPrize 2015's campaign to award $250,000 in prize money ends tonight.

Today's your last chance to have a say in which artist at ArtPrize Seven goes home $200,000 richer.

Voting in ArtPrize ends at midnight tonight.

On Friday, ArtPrize awards $500,000 to 10 works of art in the seventh annual exhibition

Half is determined by ArtPrize's panel of jurors, including the $200,000 Juried Grand Prize.

But ArtPrize viewers get to decide the $200,000 Public Grand Prize as well as the four winners of $12,500 for art in four categories.

In Round 1, ArtPrize voters whittled down its field of 1,550 entries down to a Final 20 with five entries each in the categories of Two-Dimensional Art, Three-Dimensional Art, Time-Based Art and Installation.

Some 31,000 voters in Round 1 cast more 377,302 votes to select the Final 20 unveiled on Sunday in Rosa Parks Circle.

At midnight Wednesday, with 24 hours left to vote, another 34,000 votes had been cast in Round 2 with each voter getting as many as 20 votes to cast among the Final 20.

Five artists and entries will be announced at the ArtPrize Awards Ceremony at 8 p.m. Friday in the Grand Rapids Civic Theatre.
