Raley’s is donating more than 80,000 pounds of frozen meat to 74 food banks across Northern California and Nevada.

That’s 12,000 turkeys, chickens and hams.

“Each one of these boxes represents a family in need,” Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services CEO Blake Young said Tuesday.

The donations will feed an estimated 23,000 people.
