The red and black Deadpool suit hugged every inch of Ryan and the stunt double's body, and was complete with a belt that featured a number of pockets.
Safety was of top priority, with a number of production staff surrounding the star and stunt double just before the dramatic scene.

Fans have been begging for a live-feature film of the beloved character who starred opposite Hugh Jackman - and last November Deadline announced Ryan was a go for the role.
He was the natural choice as he had already suited up as the 'Merc with a Mouth' in 2009, and the Buried actor had his own way of letting fans know the movie was actually happening as he tweeted a very telling photo.
Ryan posted a photo of the comic character in his signature clinging red costume complete with holstered weapons all over it.
Earlier: Ryan was pictured in full make-up while filming in Vancouver earlier in April
Showcasing the character's proclivity for tomfoolery, he was shown laid out in a seductive pose across a bear-skin rug in front of a fire.
The provocative pose was a spoof of Burt Reynold's infamous naked centerfold spread for Cosmopolitan in the Seventies.
The caption was yet another reference to pop culture as it was a play off of Spider-Man's famous 'with great power, comes great responsibility' line.
Deadpool, which has sparked discussion over receiving an R or PG-13 rating, is due out for release in 2016.
