A viral video of a Darth Vader fire burner which has been viewed more than 11 million times shows the dark side can be a very warm place.

Alex Dobson, who made the terrifyingly cool stove proudly shared the footage of one of his burners blazing in the back garden of its new Australian owner.

The force was strong among Star Wars fans who gave the creation their seal of approval, expressing their excitement that such a burner existed.

"I want to see it at night..with the Theme Song from STAR WARS PLAYING.." one fan wrote.

Another happy customer added: "Absolutely loving my Vader burner! Keeping me bathed in sith warmth on those colder evenings! Cheers buddy."

The Darth Vader fire burner is believed to have been bought by an Australian man and was built by Mr Dodson who lives near Barnsley in South Yorkshire.

He revealed the clip of his labour of love with the caption: 'Queensland, Australia feels a disturbance in the force...'.

Since it was uploaded five days ago, the video has been viewed more than 11 million times and that number continues to grow.

The British welder, who makes themed wood burners and fire pits out of steel, has also crafted other Star Wars characters for his customers - including R2D2, Boba Fett and Stormtroopers.

But his talents are not just limited to the iconic science fiction movie franchise.

Photographs on Mr Dodson's business Facebook page, Burned By Design, show he also specialises superheroes like Iron Man and Batman.

Prices for a burner range from £220 to £300 not including shipping.
