Watermelon Granita – the EASIEST frozen dessert you will ever make with only 3 ingredients!
Sometimes life is challenging. Ran to the urgent care this weekend to find out I have an ulcer. What the??? Yep. 30 years old with a stomach ulcer!
I guess that’s what life hands out to busy super moms. 😉 There’s really no telling why I got it, but probably from stress. Everyone’s body handles things differently and I think stress wreaks havoc on mine.
Lately it just seems as if it’s been one thing after another. My husband had his appendix removed a few weeks ago. Fun times! He was in an accident prior to that so we had to fix his car. That ended up costing a pretty penny. Then our dryer decided to stop heating so we had someone fix it.
Next, my radiator in my car got a crack in it and we had to replace it – that also costed a pretty penny. Our dryer started leaking water everywhere and we had to have someone come fix that. Now I have a lovely stress ulcer! It’s no surprise, right?! Lots of stuff going on!
Sometimes it’s best to step back and simplify. Take out the things that complicate and just…simplify.
Like this frozen dessert. Simple. Delicious. Three easy ingredients: Watermelon, sugar (Truvia), lime juice. Freeze it up and you got yourself a granita!
I’m not lying when I say this stuff is amazing. Full of flavor and so refreshing. It’s almost like a slushy drink but much better flavor. I can’t believe how something so simple can taste so good. If you’ve never made a granita before, you have to try this! Simple and delish.

They are so easy and so good! I’m obsessed. 😉
Oh girl, I’m sorry! Praying you guys catch a break for a little bit. In the mean time totally take solace in this granita because holy cow does it look delicious!
Thanks Krista! I heart you, friend! xo!
Oh how I wish I would have saw this post three days ago! I just threw away a watermelon because I didn’t have anything to do with it!
Nooooo!!! I’m so sorry I didn’t catch you in time before you chucked that watermelon! The thing that’s so cool too is that if you ever get a not-so-great watermelon, this is the perfect thing to make with it because you add the sugar and lime juice and so it doesn’t matter how bland it is before! There’s always next time! 😉
This looks delicious, and it’s so simple!
What a refreshing summer dessert! PERFECT for the 4th of July! Sharing 🙂
