Daimler to Hold "Connected Car" Job Application Days

Event targets university graduates and specialists from the fields of computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics and electrical engineering

STUTTGART - August 14, 2015: In September 2015 Daimler AG will be holding job application days for highly qualified graduates and specialists who would like to help develop the future of connected driving. The “Connected Car” job application days will be held on 15 and 16 September at the research and development facility in Sindelfingen. Daimler will offer entry-level positions in five IT-related fields of work: Product Owner, Project Manager/Scrum Master, IT Architect & Design, DevOps Expert and Integration and Test Manager. University graduates and IT specialists who are interested should send their applications to Daimler Career. The deadline for applications is 31 August 2015. The focus of the job application days will be on promoting active communication between the participants and the specialist departments. In the Product Lounge, participants will receive an overview of Daimler’s activities in the field of “connected driving” and thus gain initial insights into what might be their future line of work. Participants will be able to apply directly for one of the advertised positions by going to the Career Lounge. The applicants can demonstrate their skills here by taking part in a case study and an individual interview. They will be notified of the results of their application a few days after the event.

The fields of work are broad in scope, encompassing the various vehicle-related technical functions and systems and ranging from concept creation and software development to systems operation. Innovative software is a crucial factor for Daimler as it progresses toward the mobility of the future. In this endeavour, the automaker is primarily forging ahead with the development of connected driving. As the inventor of the automobile, Daimler is employing short development cycles and efficient digital processes so that it can further extend its leadership in technology and continue to set benchmarks in the automotive industry.
