A man suspected of firing a shot near the Linda Fire Station on Wednesday night was arrested in Sacramento.
Walter Alan Richardson, 33, of Chico was booked into Yuba County Jail for violation of weapons charges and assault with a deadly weapon for allegedly firing a handgun while riding in a Chrysler sedan driven by Nikolas James Neubauer, according to the Yuba County Sheriff's Department.
Neubauer, 38, was booked into Yuba County Jail for violation of weapons charges and being an accessory to a crime.
Richardson's bail was set at $75,000. Neubauer's bail was $25,000. They remained in custody Thursday night.
Jacoby Moultrie, 22, of Plumas Lake told deputies the shot grazed his wrist, the department said.
Deputies said an altercation began at the Stop N Shop Gas Station in Plumas Lake, where Neubauer contacted his ex-girlfriend, and she served him with a restraining order.
Neubauer threw the paperwork at a friend of the ex-girlfriend. The women left and told the friend's father, Kevin Russell, about the interaction, the department said.
Russell and several other people, including Moultrie and Skyler Smith, 18, left his residence to find Neubauer, which they did near River Oaks Boulevard.
Richardson allegedly fired the shot at Smith and Moultrie as they approached him.
Witnesses told deputies Neubauer was probably headed to Sacramento.
Sacramento law enforcement agencies found Neubauer and Richardson at a restaurant. A 9mm handgun was under the front passenger side seat of the vehicle.
