SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo will spend the day after Thanksgiving in Syracuse this year.

Trujillo will appear at Sound Garden in Armory Square on Nov. 27 (Black Friday) to promote a new documentary. The bassist will host a screening of the film, "JACO," at Sound Garden as well as a signing event.

The film, for which Trujillo was an executive producer, chronicles the brief, influential career of jazz-fusion bass player Jaco Pastorius.

"I'm excited and pleased that Sound Garden Syracuse has embraced our documentary film JACO," Trujillo said in a written statement. "I can't think of a better way to celebrate the domestic release of JACO on Black Friday."

The film debuted at SXSW in Austin, Texas earlier this year. It will be released via DVD, Blu-Ray and streaming online on Nov. 27 as part of Record Store Day Black Friday.
