Meet Senorita Diablo....

30 minutes ago our horse named "Big Girl" was having a nice day. Grazing the green field grasses.... as though it was a free infinite smorgasbord. Conversing with the neighbor stallion across the street. Joyful for the windy day to keep the flies away.

Until I brought her in for the day. Meet Senorita Diablo....

Here at the farm we have three horses. Sony Boy, Sugar, and Big Girl. Two were brought in from a local rescue. Sugar we bought off a lady from the Chico area...that's an hour or so from Rio Linda. Sugar was older.....and we just thought that he needed a good home. So he went home with us that day. I believe that Sugar knew he was heading for a better life......and that he was right about.

Horses have a certain way to communicate with humans.....same as the family dog. If you just stop the fast life around you......take a breather.....and watch the horse. I mean really watch the animal. Go pet him/her. Talk calmly and softly.......I swear that you will soon realize that horses are really something! Just like the family dog(s).

All farms should get a rescue horse. In fact.....there are many rescues that have farm animals. Hens to goats to barn cats. If you are just starting out with a little farm......now you know where to get your animals. Save a life. Feel good.
