Elk Grove Probationer Arrested on Suspicion of Domestic Violence, Child Endangerement

An Elk Grove man is being held on four felony charges at the Sacramento County Jail after an alleged domestic violence incident.

Last night 30-year old Johnny Jacob Lara was involved in an argument with his victim that escalated into a physical confrontation. The suspect allegedly struck the victim who then fell to the ground.

The attack resulted in a visible injury to the victim. During the confrontation, two children were standing next to the victim.

Lara was arrested and then booked into the county jail where he is being held on a $95,000 bail. He is facing three felony and one misdemeanor charges including domestic violence, corporal injury to a spouse or co-habitant, child endangerment, and violation of probation. Lara will be arraigned Wednesday afternoon.
