STOCKTON —

Thanks to some private fundraising by Mayor Anthony Silva, Stockton will once again have a public fireworks show on the 4th of July.

The city has struggled financially over the years culminating in a two and half year bankruptcy battle in court. But now the city has much to celebrate.

“Everyione is bulding again, the valules of our homes is up, we have new companies coming in and investors coming in every day,” said Silva.

Many Stockton residents agree.

“I think a lot of people are happy it’s finally back in Stockton,” said Chantel Aldana.

Aldana says some families were traveling out of town to see a public fireworks show and that the show scheduled for 9:20 pm on the 4th can be seen from different parts of town.
