Strawberry Music Festival returns to Grass Valley on May 26-29

The iconic Strawberry Music Festival is returning to the Nevada County Fairgrounds on May 26- 29. It features four days of music, camping and recreation and draws thousands of musicians, entertainers and music enthusiasts from across the United States.

The festival features a wide range of music, including Americana, bluegrass, blues, folk, swing, rock, Cajun, Celtic and gospel.

This May’s musicians include the David Grisman Sextet, Tim O’Brien, The Wood Brothers, Mavis Staples, Mary Gauthier, The James Hunter Six, Pokey LaFarge, The Kruger Brothers, Sarah Potenza, Darlingside, The East Pointers, Dave Gunning, Tim Chaisson, Della Mae, Head for the Hills, Tom Ball & Kenny Sultan, and others.

The festival is also known for its legendary camp jam culture. It holds art and music workshops, and children’s programs focus on music, arts and crafts, storytelling and games.

Other festival programs include the Breakfast Club, Band Scramble and live broadcast by Hog Ranch Radio. Festival goers can shop for hand-crafted goods in the artisans tent and enjoy food and drink in the food court.
