Save Marx - He Deserves To Live

Marx was first rescued by Ace of Hearts Dog Rescue in LA. When he came to us through the agency as a foster dog, having been pulled from a pound with only hours to live, we immediately fell in love with him. He was flea ridden, covered in ticks and scarred with bite marks from when he was attacked by other dogs. Marx comes from a deeply abusive background and his only instinct was to run from any human he saw. Gradually however, we nursed him back to health and let him experience what it was to be loved. After tireless searching, we found him the perfect forever home. However on his first day with his new family, he became confused and somehow escaped when no one was looking, probably searching for his foster Dads who had been taking care of him. His instinct to run kicked in again. Panicked, we searched the streets of LA from morning to nightfall, posting flyers and asking if anyone had seen him. At 8.30 PM we got a phone call. He was alive, but had been run over by a car, dislocating his hip.
He's in a serious condition with his leg broken and his hip bone popped put of its socket.
The vets also suspect some potential nerve damage that's causing delays in getting him into surgery.
Much of the necessary expenses needed to keep him stable and safe have been covered by friends and volunteers. But he needs surgery.
We are asking everyone to give ANYTHING they can and share this post to help us save his life and make him a happy smiling puppy again.
