With just two names (Michael Douglas and Matt Damon) locked in for the 2013 Primetime Emmy telecast, the prior week’s Creative Arts ceremony has much more of its plans squared away.
The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and producer Spike Jones Jr. announced the first wave of presenters for the earlier show on Wednesday — and reunited Community cohorts Joel McHale and Dan Harmon are among those on the list.
The duo are joined by Heidi Klum, Tim Gunn and Jon Murray (Project Runway), Margo Martindale (The Millers), Mark Burnett and Roma Downey (The Bible), Scott Bakula and Jerry Weintraub (Behind the Candelabra), Nolan Gould (Modern Family), Mark Cuban, Daymond John, Kevin O’Leary, Lori Greiner and Robert Herjavec (Shark Tank), Cobie Smulders and Pamela Fryman (How I Met Your Mother), Joelle Carter and Graham Yost (Justified), Yeardley Smith (The Simpsons), Gilbert Gottfried and Chris Parnell (Archer) , Robert Smigel (with Triumph, the Insult Comic Dog), McKenzie Westmore (Face Off), Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage (MythBusters) and Emmy host Neil Patrick Harris.
Taking place on Sept. 15, the Sunday before the Emmys, at the Nokia Theatre at L.A. Live, the Creative Arts Emmys will air at 9 p.m. Sept. 21 on the newly launched cable network FXX.
