TACONY, Penn. (PIX11) – A 4-year-old girl left her home in the middle of the night in search of a frozen beverage.

According to WPVI in Philadelphia, the bus driver was flagged down around 3 a.m. on Friday, by a man who had found a young girl. Surveillance video from the bus shows little Annabelle getting onto the bus and taking a seat.

“I was like, whoa, you’ve got to be kidding me,” bus driver Harlan Jenifer said. “Not at this time of the night, 3:00 in the morning, a little girl? She’s a small thing. Kind of just shocked me.”

Jenifer called police while passengers comforted little Annabelle. She then toldthe rest of the passengers why exactly she was on the bus for this late-nite excursion.

“She had her mind set,” said Jenifer. “‘All I want is a slushie.’ That’s all she said.”

Within an hour, Annabelle was reunited with her parents, who were both shocked and grateful.

“He saved my daughter’s life,” said mother Jaclyn Mager. “I’ll be forever grateful.”

Annabelle’s parents have since reconfigured their door locks.
